Taryn Everdeen Bio Post Cover Image

Taryn is a 20-year-old singer-songwriter from Norwich, UK, currently studying at art school in Paris, France. Inspired by the sounds of Keaton Henson, Daughter, and Billie Marten, Taryn's music uses minimal instrumentation, drawing the listener's attention to her wistful melodies and hauntingly soft vocals.

She performs with a gentleness and vulnerability that mesmerises audiences. During her gap year travels, she played at open mics in cities all across the world - New York City, Budapest, Amsterdam, Prague, Berlin... Upon her return home, she dived straight into the Norwich open mic scene, becoming a regular performer, leading to gig opportunities at The Merchant's House and the Louis Marchesi. Open mics have opened other doors: it's where she met her collaborator Jake Raywood, who co-produced of her single 'Drenched', a track picked up by BBC Radio Introducing in Norfolk.

She also features on an improvised song on his latest EP, and together they wrote the single 'All For You', with a collaborative EP in the works. Outside of the open mic sphere, she's played at a range of Norfolk venues, including the Norwich Arts Centre cafĂ© bar, the Bowling House, and the Banham Barrel. Over the summer, she was invited to play at the Polurrian Hotel's 'Woodfired Sessions' in Cornwall and New Rock's Youth Music Festival at Thorington Theatre in Suffolk. Back in Paris, Taryn's already making her way into the local music scene, having played a concert for the city's FĂȘte de la Musique as well as a set for Escargot Underground Radio's co-plateau.
